The Information Age is not Interested in Information

I realized this when I send my siblings a link to one of my postings, full of interesting data – and they were not interested. They are part of the Information Age (as it is often called) – but they are not interested in information. For them, it is too real!

The split in American society between computer people who are interested in Big Data – and the rest of society who are not – is extreme. And, as far as I know – unacknowledged.

To state the situation more correctly – I should say Part of the Information Age is not Interested in Information. And this part happens to be most of the people in it!

They are only interested in illusions, which they get mostly from watching Television, or their smartphones. They do not want to know what is really going on – which for them is extremely distasteful.
