This is a good read. He uses lots of small paragraphs, like I do – which makes it more conversational.
The theme is familiar – the Company against the Union. The same one my Grandfather fought in 1922, the year of the Great Railroad Strike – which the Union lost – because the Railroad brought in Scabs from Mexico. They could easily learn railroading jobs – and they were much cheaper.
The Company Men prospered at everyone else’s expense. When the Railroads went down, their sons moved into the Pentagon – and did very well there – wasting the Taxpayers money.
The Company here is Verizon – and once again, the strikers haven’t a chance. No one understands what they are trying to do.
Worker Solidarity has been gone for a long time.
