Two Cultures and the Scientific Revolution

This is a famous paper by C. P. Snow

In it, he discusses the gap between the scientists and the writers he has known personally – since he has been both. It’s extremely well-written.

It is dated, however – because it was written in 1959 – just before the vast changes I often write about. The problem he writes about has been replace by much worse problems!

I was referred to it by the MOOC I am taking about Big History. It is clearly part of our history – but I am overwhelmed by too much data – and can only take a short look at it.

Perhaps you will have more time for it.
