The risky politics of progress


I am skeptical about how effective the leadership initiatives this talk describes, really are. But I am not the least bit skeptical about their necessity – and the feeling that some progress has been made – in some places – for various reasons – most of which are not recognized here. In Software Development, for example.

And how unwilling to take risks politicians and executives and software developers and the public at large are.

The herd (as Nietzsche said) does not want to take any risks.
