You have to advance Computer Science, not just the marketing hype that surrounds it.
Take Yahoo, that didn’t do this, which was just sold for practically nothing. Google and Amazon, by contrast, are so powerful – they are buying smaller companies, for their expertise – themselves.
They know what they are buying, when many companies do not. I have worked for some of them – who didn’t know what they were doing – and they exist no longer.
To survive in the Computer world, you gotta be sharp. If you make simple products, you can be simple – but if you make smart products, you gotta be smart. You can’t just claim to be a computer company – you gotta really be one.
And this is not easy.
