I am reading The Book of Meme Law.
This guy is a monomaniac, obsessed by one insight. What he is saying is valuable – very valuable – but he is overlooking other insights, that are equally valuable.
One of these was discovered by the Buddha – who emphasized being aware. His practitioners usually concentrated on inner awareness – but the same thing could (and should) be applied to outer awareness.
What many people have noticed in our time is – how unaware people are. They are still aware of their sensations, no matter how trivial – and they will go to great lengths to satisfy them. But they do not think – they do not seem to have any mental drives, or needs. They almost do not exist.
His theory, which includes 95 different laws, for heaven’s sake – does not take these facts into account.
