The Echo Dot is Stupid

How is it stupid? Let me tell you the ways.

It has no battery, and only works when it is plugged in. Batteries are cheap, and there is no reason for this.

It thinks it is in Seattle, and this cannot be changed. If I ask for the weather, I get Seattle weather. If I ask for the time, I get Seattle time. I complained about this, and got a prompt, polite answer, that showed they did not understand the problem.

During setup, it should ask for my location, and then take this into account when questions are asked of it. I filled out another form, explaining this. Some changes would have to be made to the Echo software – but for a software company, this should not be a problem.
