What “Being Social” Now Means

There are now social apps that have redefined what this means – Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. All of them make us helpless, stupid, and immoral. They assume, correctly – we are already this way, and they want to help us – stay this way.

There are also a lot of devices and services that are defective – in little or big ways. I downloaded Visual Studio 20017 only few days ago, as soon as it was released. And ran into lots of trouble. To do anything with it, you have to beef it up to perform the kinds of things you want it to do with it.

Something you have to find out for yourself. Each of these specializations introduce their own quirks. You are left wandering in the desert – without anyone to guide you. Microsoft is busy doing bigger things – not people things.
