Mexico and the U.S. have a common history. In the 19th Century, the U.S. conquered Mexico completely (including Mexico City) – and forced it to surrender much of its territory – that now forms most of the Southwestern U.S. – including California and Texas.
Much later, my parents retired in Mexico, and joined a religious community there – that did not last very long. My last girlfriend in Silicon Valley, in the Nineties, was a Mexican-American who understood almost nothing about either country.
The writer of this review understands his country very well. Americans should read what he has to say – although few of them will.
